Arrive, meet with your tour leader and begin to get to know this historic city. Our tour starts with the Architectural achievement, the legendary church, the magnificent Hagia Sophia, which is imposing, giving us unique thrills. Then we will visit the mosque of sultan Ahmet, the famous "Blue Mosque", as it is called by the color that dominates the glamorous mosaic decoration. Just in front of Sultan Ahmed's Square are the remnants of the Hippodrome, the Bronze Tripod of Delphi, the column of Konstantinos Porfyrogenitos and Obeliskos of Theodosius, which bear witness to the glorious past of the City. We continue with the Sultan's Palace, Topkapi, today's museum, which we will visit to admire the treasures it hosts and to enjoy the unique view of the Bosphorus. We continue today's tour with Justinian's Royal Stern with the 336 Corinthian and Dorian columns. The atmosphere will leave you speechless. There we will also have the opportunity to admire the jellyfish that, according to mythology, protected important parts, turning those who looked at them in stone. Optional meal at a local restaurant. Then we'll be taken to the busy Covered Bazaar CAPALI CARSI with 5,000 shops, picturesque Kapali Tsarsi & the Egyptian Market. There you will find that your mind can bring you and you will get to know another characteristic aspect of the city. Late afternoon transfer and arrangement at our hotel. For evening we recommend fun in a traditional center with belly dancing and live orchestra (35 €). Return to our hotel and overnight.
Breakfast and optional departure for an excursion / cruise where we will get to know the beautiful, famous Princess Islands, Halki and Princess, green scents that decorate the waters of the bay. Our first stop, Halki, where we will visit the much-discussed Theological School. At personal expenses, we will rent wagons to get to the hill where the school is located. Sit in the desks, feel again students and listen to the history of this school ... After Halki, we will board the ship again to see the other big island, the Prince island. We will take a stroll to the square where we will have optional lunch and take the road back. Return to our hotel and overnight.
Breakfast and departure for the Dolma Palace Bahce Kemal Ataturk, left here last time in 1938. Breakfast and our last excursion is to the Byzantine churches. We will pass the Theodosian walls and Eptapyrgio and we will be transferred to Balukli. After seeing this famous church and admiring the fish of Zoodochos Pigi, we continue for the Virgin of the Blacherns, which is often mentioned in the syncariums, where during the Byzantine Empire the king and the courtiers were celebrated. In this church, the Akathist Anthem was thundering for the first time. Our journey continues with the famous Chora Monastery with the famous Byzantine mosaics.
