Greece’s mainland landescape

 Today we will go with our guide to get to know the striking contrasts that make Athens such an exciting city. our guide will take us to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 then we will see the Prime Minister's residence (former royal palace) guarded by the Evzones in their colorful uniform, his Temple Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Parliament and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, Syntagma Square (Constitution). In the Acropolis you will visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the Parthenon. You will then visit the new Acropolis Museum. free time back at the hotel. Dinner.

And after crossing the Thessalian valey we will reach Kalambaka, watching the rocks of Meteora the place is protected by Unesco and we will visit, THE MONASTERY OF VARLAAAM OR THE MONASTERY OF BIG METEORO, and the nun monastery of SAINT STEFANOS with free afternoon for a walki in the town.

After breakfast we will leave for Kastoria where we will be enchanted by the lake of Orestiada. We will see the mansions in Apozari and Doltso and visit the monastery of Panagia Mavriotissas on the lake shore and we will see the lake first. we will have free time to walk on the beautiful lake

Today of course we will visit the last remote villages of AGIOS ACHILIOS and the village of Psarades and of course we will take an Optioanl boat ride on the lake of Great Prespa overlooking the water border of GREECE- ALBANIA AND YUGOSLAVIA and here took party the Prespa Agreement between Greece and Skopje which was also signed by the two prime ministers

Departure after breakfast and crossing the hanging new Rio Bridge we will reach Patras where we will visit the church of the patriarch of St. Andrew. Then, from the port of Kyllini, we will reach Zakynthos, where our first visit will be to the monastery of SAINT DIONYSIOS of the saint of love and forgiveness watching over His HOLY BODY in his Coffin. After our drive to Bohalis to admire the city from above and our visit to Strani hill where Dionysios Solomos wrote the national anthem of Greece we will enjoy our dinner at central tavern with local food

Today we will visit the monastery of Panagia Anafonitria where Saint Dionysius lived and spent many tears and forgave the murder of His brother, photographs from above in the shipwreck, the emblem of Zakynthos, if allowed swim time in AYKES. And for our last night we will have fun at taverns with Zakynthian music and CANDADES.local songs and music
