11 DAYS MACEDONIA-THRACE-THASSOS-SAMOTHRACE &TURKEY

1st Day KOMOTINI
. Departure by bus passing through the Tembι gorge where the Pinios river flows between the mountains of Olympos and Kissavos for northern Greece where after a few stops we will arrive in Komotini where we will spend the night.

DAY 2 KOMOTINI – CONSTANTINOPLE
Today we will pass the customs from Greece to Turkey and then we will stop in Raidestos a great beach town for food and then we will continue  to Constantinoples to our hotel, arrival and settling in our rooms. for the evening we offer an optional cruise on the Bosphorus a unique experience to see all of Constantinoples lit up and make your first acquaintance with the city.

DAY 3 CONSTANTINOPLES – AGIA SOFIA – FANARI
Today, together with our guide,  we will visit the historical monuments of the city, starting with the Hagia Sophia, this colossal building, then we will go to the racetrack, and of course we will visit the Blue Mosque of Sultan Ahmed, and then we will see the Byzantine fortifications of the city the obelisk of Theodosius and the column of Porphyrogennetos. we will close our visit with a visit to the FANARI in our Orthodox Patriarchate and of course we will also see the building of the great school of its kind, and for sure we will visit Panagia Valoukliotissa and the monastery of Panagia Vlaherna where the restless hymn was first sung. For the evening, we suggest group entertainment in a restaurant with the well-known Hanumakia.

DAY 4  – PRINCESS  ISLAND-HALKI- CONSTANTINOPLES
Today, continuing the tour and after we will cross the bridge of the horned bay, and then we will go to the palace of Dolma Bakhce, and then we will go from Bostanzi by boat to Chalki to see the theological school and then we will go to Prince Island where we will we have a little time at our disposal for a coffee and a ride in the carriages to go around the island and admire the mansions of the Greeks of the city. Return late afternoon to our hotel and free evening.

DAY 5TH CLOSED MARKET   (  CAPALI CARSI ) CONSTANTINOUPOLES – ALEXANDROUPOLI

DAY 6th ORESTIADA-SOUFLI-DIDYMOTEICHO
Full-day excursion to the northernmost point of Greece, seeing Soufli-Orestiada and Didymoteicho, cities and villages of our homeland which tey are the northest places of Greece.

DAY 7th  Island of  SAMOTHRACE
After breakfast, boarding the ship and sailing to Samothraki. Arrival on the island and tour, starting from the museum where there is a copy of the statue of Victory of Samothrace. We continue to Thermo where we will admire the waterfalls and enjoy our food. In the afternoon with the ship we will pass to Alexandroupolis where we will have free time to enjoy our coffee on the beach of the city. Overnight

DAY 8th XANTHI – PORTO LAGOS – LAKE VISTONIDA – POMAKOCHORIA
Today we will After our breakfast we will see the picturesque and beautiful town of Xanthi where the old town meets the new town, the Anatolia meets the West, we will see the tobacco warehouses, we will visit the Holy Monastery of Panagia Kalamiotissa and then we will go to Porto Lagos the magical Agioreitiko metochi of Porto Lagos, with the Post-Byzantine church of Agios Nikolaos & Panagia Pantanassa in Lake Vistonida. There are many species of birds here, as the area is protected by the International Ramsar Convention. Next, we will visit the villages of the Pomaks, Sminthi and Echinos, the capital village and the most charismatic of the region (the Pomaks are descendants of M. DAY 9th KAVALA- Island of THASSOS
Breakfast and departure for Thassos via Keramoti. Boarding the ferry boat and arrival at the port of Thassos. Tour around the island. We will be charmed by the natural relief landscape and the rich vegetation, the lacy shores and the exotic beaches. Visit and pilgrimage to the Immaculate Conception of Archangel Michael built in an imposing location. DAY 10th XANTHI- I. MONASTERY OF IKOSIPHONISSA – KAVALA.
After breakfast, departure for the Monastery of Panagia Ikosifinissa, with its 150 cells, located in a steep ravine of the gold-bearing Pangaios mt. It flourished in the Middle Ages and played a very important role in Greek letters as well as in the liberation struggle of Genus.
